RP Fr Manuel Mora Ampuero Santamaria Jesus was born in the imperial city of Cusco, 01 January 1927. His parents were: Don José Domingo Ampuero and Mrs. Albina Mora. It was the second of 4 siblings.
primary studies and secondary education, held in the city of Cusco. He entered the Order
Mercedaria on 03 January 1954 in his homeland. He began his novitiate stage March 19, 1954 in the city of Arequipa and made his first religious vows on March 20, 1955 in the Convent of St. John Lateran in the same city. He professed solemn vows on February 22, 1959 in the same convent, where Father Superior Commander Ildefonso Sánchez. Finally, he agreed to the priesthood on February 25, 1960.
Its religious history is summarized in the following activities:
- In 1990 he was appointed Superior - Commander - Chaplain "Community of Sanctuary Convent Lord of Huanca.
- In 1993 he was appointed Superior of the Convent Commander and Chaplain of the Shrine of Huang.
- being as Superior in 1996 - Commander and Chaplain of the Shrine Lord of Huanca, is delegated to grant the Solemn Profession of Vows Friar Brother Jara Laura Eulogio.
- On February 16, 2002 he was appointed Superior - Commander "of the Convento Santuario Señor de Huanca.
- On November 8, 2002 with letter Prot/205-2002 the Master of the Order of Mercy Fr Mariano Araya Labarca P. designates Manuel Ampuero "Comendador" of the sanctuary of Huanca for a fourth consecutive three-year period.
- On February 11, 2005 he was appointed Commander of the Convent High Sanctuary of the Lord of Huanca - Cusco.
- In 2008, due to deterioration in health, received his letter of convent by order of P. Provincial, Fr Juan Carlos Saavedra Lucho, O. M. Shrine at the Convent of the Lord of Huanca - Cusco.
- celebrates its golden jubilee of priesthood on February 25, 2010 at the Shrine of the Lord of Huanca - Cusco. In this ceremony was recognized "beloved Son Archaeological City Peru - Cusco -" as well as various manifestations of love and affection among which the Archbishop Juan Antonio Ugarte Pérez, Archbishop of Cusco, Bishop Salvador Piñeiro García Calderón , Military Bishop of Peru - Lima Provincial Municipality of Cusco, the Director of the PNP, among others.

Fr Manuel Mora Ampuero was a religious man who experienced the closeness of God in a corner of this earth as the sanctuary of the Lord of Huanca (Cusco), where he lived all his life and he devoted his efforts to proclaim the Good News to the People He trusted God. Highlighted in him, his humility and simplicity with which trades assumed confident and zealous keeper of the spiritual with the Lord of Huanca we had booked. With a distinguished bearing and haughty, was able to win the esteem and affection of the locals, crossing territorial boundaries; spared no efforts to serve the pilgrims who came to the shrine every day and shelter them under the same roof. Today we are going a religious issue but we have the memory of him as a lesson for future generations.

Fr Manuel Mora Ampuero, died on Sunday March 6, 2011, at 84 years of age, in the Convento del Santuario Señor de Huanca - Cusco.
Dedicated with love to infinity Father Manuel Ampuero, someone who was like a "grandpa" spiritual for me.
